Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prevalent malignancy with diverse treatment approaches based on disease stage and patient needs. In the seminar, we discussed the current status of stage II CRC treatment, emphasizing the benefits of adjuvant chemotherapy for low-risk patients. For metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), the focus was on optimizing Bevacizumab use to maximize patient benefits. Additionally, we examined the analysis of Taiwan's Health Insurance Database, highlighting the benefits of Lonsurf in combination therapy, and shared real-world hospital experiences demonstrating its efficacy. The seminar also covered the latest developments in peritoneal metastasis treatment with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), discussing applicable cancer types, costs, survival rates, and side effects. Finally, advancements in endoscopic techniques, such as the evolution from endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR), were reviewed, with a focus on their clinical applications, advantages, and limitations in CRC treatment.
